Yes, please provide a sleeping bag (and pillow). We will provide mattresses to make your child's stay comfortable. More advice on our recommended checklist.
All staff are trained in first aid. Supervision of the children is the responsibility of the school. However our staff are on call throughout the residential (7.00pm – 8.30am off site contact). Please read our Quality and Safety page that provides all our policies and procedures.
We have two sets of washrooms each with three showers and toilet facilities in The Lodge a stone’s throw from the circle of pods.
There is nowhere to plug them in – don’t forget their hat or scrunchie!
Luggage will be kept in the lockable pods - no midnight feasts as food and drink (excluding water bottles) are not allowed in the pods. We recommend that expensive electronic equipment is not brought but this decision is at the discretion of the school. Our centre is not liable for loss of property.
Our residential facilities are used by one school at any one time, so students will not be sharing any residential with any other school.
We will provide all meals and snacks after lunch on day 1. Please provide a healthy pack lunch for the first meal in a back pack. Don’t forget their water bottle! There’ll be a choice of food provided at mealtimes which will be both healthy and filling. Dietary and food allergy requirements can be catered for. Please ensure that you notify your school for your child's needs.

All the pupils will be encouraged to join in and help with jobs such as washing and drying up, clearing the tables and sweeping the floor and not forgetting keeping their own pods tidy.

Most activities are not affected by the weather as long as you are dressed appropriately. Please follow our checklist to cover all seasons. We have a range of indoor facilities and unlike tents our wooden eco pods are heated and waterproof!
We pride ourselves on our inclusive approach to teaching. Our facilities are accessible and we have an all-terrain wheelchair to use in the forest.

Outdoor learning is invaluable and brings life-long memories and skills that they will carry into adulthood. Our activities are cross-curricular and of course fun!
