Calendar of events and activities

This Summer we are taking our animals on a tour of Waltham Forest's libraries!

Across multiple dates in July and August, come find us at one of your local libraries where you can meet one of our Environmental Education Officers to find out more about what happens at The Hive and how you could get involved.

We will be running animal handling sessions (ticketed), natural crafts and engaging storytimes.

A day of child-led fun in Epping Forest. Climb a tree, whittle a sword, cook a snack on the campfire and much more!

Come and join us for the launch of our brand new nature area in a newly refurbished woodland area in Langthorne Park.

Suitable for ages 8 years and up (including adults!).

After much anticipation, we are now launching our first Family Camp at The Hive! Bring the family for a camping experience like no other, in the heart of Epping Forest amongst 7 acres of blissful woodland habitat. Staff-led activities, excellent facilities, and catering included.

A day of nature connection for LGBTQ+ families and children, exploring the queerness of the natural world and a zine making workshop.

Using tools, carve your own pendant, worry stone or ornament, from natural soapstone. Plus other natural crafts.

Friday 28 August 2026

£20 per person (plus Eventbrite fees) | Suitable for Adults and children aged 11+

Join us for an evening of nocturnal wonders - with a bat walk, moth trap, crafts, quizzes, trail and hot drinks (included). 

Suitable for ages 8 years and up (including adults!).

Take time for yourself on this relaxing weekend of nature-based wellbeing, designed to nourish body and mind.

Includes full catering and accommodation in your private camping pod.
