Epping Forest is the largest open space in London, covering over 6000 acres of habitat mosaic including ancient woodland, heathland, grassland and wetland, which support a variety of plants, fungi and animal species, many of which are rare elsewhere. Over two thirds of the forest is designated as a Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC).
Walk content will vary depending on the season and interests of the leader.
