Sponsor a school visit

Our young people are growing up in a rapidly changing world as a result of climate change. This, coupled with the fact that the UK is one of the least nature-connected nations on the planet (Nature Connection in Schools, 2025), is setting young people up for failure. It is more important than ever for every child to be able access outdoor learning opportunities, to inspire them to connect with nature, and boost their mental wellbeing and resilience. The work we do at The Hive is instrumental in this.

However, due to the pressure of declining school budgets and the rising cost of living, there has been a significant decline in school visits in recent years.

This affects children’s learning opportunities and has a disproportionate effect on children living in areas with higher deprivation.

With your support, we can help children across Waltham Forest access first-hand experiences in nature, to support their learning & development, and inspire them to become the next generation of climate leaders.
