Count Your Carbon is a free, full-scope carbon emissions calculator especially built for nurseries, schools and colleges. You can use it to calculate, understand, track and reduce your carbon emissions. It covers everything from the energy you use in the school building, to transport, to the carbon embedded in the things schools buy, use and throw away.
Counting Your Carbon gives an important benchmark for creating and monitoring a Climate Action Plan.
This carbon calculator has been developed by Eco-Schools. All school can involved pupils in using this calculator as part of working towards and Eco-Schools Green Flag.
Eco-committees or Green-teams empower the next generation of innovative, inspirational young citizens and shows your local community that your college, school, or nursery is forward-thinking and actively engaged in protecting people and planet. The Green Flag is the perfect way to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of young people and it reflects your school's commitment to addressing the climate and ecological emergency.
Eco-Schools request that Green Flag schools re-apply for their flag every two years.
