Big Climate Conversations
Each November The Hive runs a Big Climate Conversation which all the schools and colleges in the borough can take part in.
Resources are provided for teachers from Year 3 - Year 13 to run the Big Climate Conversation in a lesson with a whole class and Eco-Committees are invited to attend multi-school Big Climate Conversations at host schools around the borough.
All of the resources from the Big Climate Conversation 2021 - 2023 are available here for schools to use at any time. The survey forms are no longer active but this part of the lesson is not essential for running the activities and discussions.

5 Day Climate Summit
Access the BCC 2021In this first Big Climate Conversation each day has a different theme and daily action for everyone to take part in.
It can be run as a focused Sustainability Week or one day a week over five weeks. We cannot guarantee the links to external resources are live. However the Summit pages provide a structure and there are lots more up-to-date lesson ideas organised by theme on the Climate Teaching Resources page.

This lesson pack developed by VotesforSchools introduces the key areas of the Waltham Forest Climate Action Plan and supports students to discuss and share their views about what they think is important for their school and local area.
